Land and Water Based Safari Activities
Courtesy of the Kafue River and diverse plains of the Southern Kafue, this itinerary offers the perfect combination of land and water based safari activities.
Day 1: Livingstone - Nanzhila Plains Camp
The Classic Package begins in Livingstone with a 3 hour road transfer to Dundumwezi Gate where you will be met by the Nanzhila Plains safari team.
Day 4: Nanzhila Plains Camp - Nanzhila Lake Camp
After a hearty breakfast, we will head out over the plains and through the Ngoma Forest towards Lake Itezhi-tezhi. The drive is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. A member of the Smith Family will be ready and waiting to welcome you to camp!
Day 7: Nanzhila Lake Camp - Kaingu Safari Lodge
On Day 7 you will say goodbye to the Smith Family for your final destination on the beautiful Kafue River. The drive to Kaingu is two hours from Lake Camp.
Day 10: Kaingu Safari Lodge - Lusaka
It’s time to depart Kafue National Park back to Lusaka for your departure flight home or to your next safari destination.
