A River Based Safari Experience
As Kaingu is river-based, it offers a number of bird and wildlife species that are not found in Nanzhila so the combination of the 3 camps really gives you the full Kafue Safari feel!
Land Based Safari Activities
Game drives and safari walks around Nanzhila are bound to reveal a wide variety of wildlife and bird species including 4 out of the Big 5!
Authentic Bush Experience
Don’t be surprised if whilst staying at any of the camps, you wake up to the sound of buck crunching twigs underfoot, or the ripping sound of branches as elephants strip the trees close by
Day 1: Arrival
Your safari can begin by road or air charter from either Lusaka OR Livingstone driving into the Kafue.
Day 1 - 4: Plains Camp
Assuming you depart from Livingstone, your first 3 nights will be at Nanzhila Plains in the Southern part of the park.
Day 4 - 7: Lake Camp
After 3 nights at Plains Camp, you will be transferred to Nanzhila Lake Camp on the shoreline of Lake Itezhi-tezhi for a 3 night stay at the secluded Lake Camp.
Day 7 - 10: Kaingu Safari Lodge
Your final 3 nights are on the Kafue River at Kaingu Safari Lodge enjoying the river based canoeing and game viewing on offer.
Day 10: Departure
On your final day, you will be transferred back to Lusaka in time for your departure flight.
