A classic safari combination in Hwange National Park

Journey to two of the most remote and untamed areas within Zimbabwe’s Hwange National park. The game-rich plains of Camp Hwange combined with the rugged hills and rock carvings of Bumbusi Wilderness Camp in Hwange National Park make for the perfect Hwange experience. Hwange National Park is the largest in Zimbabwe and is renowned for its diverse habitats, abundant wildlife sightings and fantastic birding, boasting over 400 avian species. More specifically, the park is home to some of Africa’s biggest ‘Tuskers’ which can be seen roaming the vast open plains of the park making for fascinating elephant interactions and game viewing opportunities

“We stayed 3 nights with a group of friends in October. Although the early rains chased off some of the game, we saw more than we could have imagined. 4 types of cat (including mating lions and 3 x male lions in camp), dozens of elephant, hyena in camp, long list of antelope and unique birding.  Can’t wait to go back!

Day 1: Victoria Falls - Camp Hwange

This package begins in Victoria Falls with a short flight to Giraffe Springs Airstrip where you will be met by a team member who will drive you into camp.

Day 1 - 3: Camp Hwange

Enjoy 3 fully incluisve nights in a Thatched Chalet in Camp Hwange

Day 3 - 7: Bumbusi Wilderness Camp

After breakfast you will be transferred to Bumbusi Wilderness Camp for 4 fully inclusive nights

Day 7: Depature Day

Bumbusi Wilderness Camp will transfer you to Robin’s Airstrip for a short flight to Victoria Falls

Hwange National Park is situated in western Zimbabwe and is the country’s premier game reserve. With easy road and flight access from both Victoria Falls and Bulawayo, the reserve is extremely popular with both local and international tourists.

Hwange is renowned for its huge elephant and buffalo herds, sable and other rare antelope as well as an excellent concentration of large predators including lion, leopard, wild dog, hyena, and cheetah. Birders will find plenty to keep them busy with over 400 species of birds recorded and the park is especially known for its spectacular sunsets.
