We are a destination specialist for the Southern African region, including Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Malawi, South Africa and Namibia. What is the best time of year to go on a safari?

What are my luggage restrictions?
Commercial & Regional Flights
Luggage restrictions for regional airlines in Southern Africa can vary slightly between airlines. It’s important to check with the specific airline you are flying with for their updated luggage policies. However, here are some general guidelines for luggage restrictions that are commonly applied by regional airlines in Southern Africa:
Checked Baggage Allowance:
The checked baggage allowance for regional flights is usually around 20-23 kilograms (44-50 pounds) per passenger.
Some airlines may have restrictions on the number of checked bags allowed, typically ranging from one to two bags.
Dimensions of checked bags are typically limited to a total of length + width + height not exceeding 158 cm (62 inches).
Cabin/Carry-on Baggage Allowance:
Regional airlines generally allow passengers to carry one cabin/carry-on bag and a personal item such as a handbag or laptop bag.
The typical weight limit for cabin/carry-on baggage is around 7-10 kilograms (15-22 pounds).
Dimensions for cabin/carry-on bags are usually limited to a total of length + width + height not exceeding 115 cm (45 inches).
Light Aircraft Charter Flights
Charter flights in Southern Africa generally have the same luggage restrictions however it is worth checking with your consultant to check your trip specific luggage allowance.
